Will of William Wills, Jr. Bedford Co., VA. Will Book 15, p78
In the name of God Amen. I William Wills of the County of Bedford and State of Virginia being sound in mind and memory though weak and feebly in health- doth make and order this to be my last Will and testament hereby revoking making null and void all other or former Wills by me made.
First. I direct my Executors hereby named to pay all of my just debts and funeral expenses out of any money that may be on hand or out of the first that they may be able to collect from debts due to me.
Second. I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Wills all of my estate so long as she may live, and the land on which I now reside to be a home for her her lifetime and also to be a home for the younger children and such of my sons who are of lawful age if they choose can live with and cultivate the lands with their mother.
Third. at the death of my wife, I direct that the whole of the estate shall be sold and the nett proceeds arising therefrom be equally divided amongst all of my children or their heirs forever. Edward Wills my son and Manirva Gilpin my daughter must account for forty dollars each which has already been paid to them before they can come inn for an equal share with the rest of the children.
Fourth. that portion of the plantation as specified as per article of agreement between myself and my son Edward Wills; it is my wish and request that he may have the same after he shall have paid for the same and direct that the sight be made to him for that portion of land as specified in the articles of agreement. Lastly- I hereby constitute and appoint my friend A. C. Rucker and my son Edward Wills as Executors of this my last will and testament.
