The following is extracted from a book, "The Copenhaver
Genealogy" (Lloyd Gayle Sparks), sent from Walter Bailey 3/4/99.
Tom, there is very little in "The Copenhaver Genealogy" about Minerva Ellen
Wills. It only mentions the following: "On July 26, 1866 James Allen married Minerva
Ellen Wills of _________who was born in 1849. Her parents were _______. James Allen and
Minerva lived all of their married life at Sparks, West Virginia across the road from the
grist
mill on the River Road that goes to the Battle Run School. This farm was later given to
the sons of James Allen and Minerva. James Allen was a farmer and blacksmith.
"The children of James Allen and Minerva Copenhaver were Nancy Susan, Fanny, Julia,
Abigail, Edger, Joseph, Oscar, Albert, Polina Agnes and Maggie. Their youngest child
Maggie died at age 8. Shortly thereafter James Allen's wife minerva, died at age 50. A new
home was built on the James Allen Farm.
"James Allen and Minerva Ellen Wills Copenhaver were buried at the Miller Cemetery at
Kesslers Cross Lanes, West Virginia."
