From The Bedford County, Va. Deed Book (transcribed as written)

This Indenture made the 23^rd day of January 1813 between Joel Dearin and his wife Patsey of Bedford County of the one part and Justinian Wills of the County aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Joel Dearin and his wife Patsey aforesaid in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty one Pounds current money of Virginia in hand paid doth certify that the said Joel Dearin and his wife Patsey hath granted bargained and sold and enfe off unto the said Justinian Wills his heirs and assigned forever one certain tract of or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Bedford on the North side of Orrix Creek and continuing estimation being one hundred fifty one acres, more or less and bounded as followeth. Beginning at Drerry Bagwells corner rock in George Hughes line, thence along the said line to a corner Pine, thence along to a corner white Oak near the branch, thence up the branch to a corner Poplar thence North to a corner black Oak near the road, thence along the said Road painters in Henry Adams line, thence along his line to a corner Spanish Oak, thence East course the dividing line between Patsey and Joel Dearin to a corner white Oak near the creek thence down the creek as it meanders to the beginning. Together with all its impertinences and privileges (unreadable) and (unreadable) remainder and (unreadable) and every part or parcel there of there unto belonging. To have and to hold the above right and (unreadable) and every part there of unto the said Justinian Wills and his Heirs and assigns forever and the said Joel Dearin and his wife Patsey there Heirs assigns do covenant and agree to and with the said Justinian Wills and his Heirs and assigned to warrant and defend the aforesaid Lands from the right title claim or demand of himself and all other persons claiming for by or under him or any person whatever. In witness where of & the said land Joel Dearin and Patsey his wife have here unto set their hands & seals the day and year above written.
